Liz McConaghy is an ex-RAF Chinook crewmember who was deployed worldwide with the CH47 fleet, including to Iraq and Afghanistan. She was the longest serving female in this role and the youngest aircrew to deploy to Iraq. Liz left the forces in 2019 and turned to writing her autobiography following a tough battle with PTSD years after leaving the service, in the hope it may help other with their mental health.
